KEVIN WILLCOCKS - HARD BODIED LURE CREATOR
Kevin has been passionate about various kinds of fishing all his life and has passed that addiction on to myself (Matt).
He spent most of the 90’s carving and testing many of his own popper and bibbed diver designs off the rocks near Spirits Bay.
Many hearty kingies have fallen to his early lure designs and the occasional aggressive Snapper.
Kevins professional career has given him a keen insight into the modern production methods for stick baits. 20+ years as a boat builder then led into 20 years in residential construction and set design in the film industry.
Kevin has had a lifelong passion for artistry, and this reflects in every individual lure he produces.
MATT WILLCOCKS - TROLLING LURE CREATOR
Matt has spent his entire life developing a great love for everything fishing related thanks to his father Kevin and a select few mates throughout the years.
Most of his fishing is done in the Hauraki Gulf or Northland with the occasional trip to the Coromandel.
Matt started making lures during New Zealands first Covid-19 Lockdown as a hobby to pass the time and it has since grown from there.
Although Matt has a full-time career outside of Lure making he still finds the time outside of work to juggle Mayhem Lures, a young family and fishing sessions with his mates.
